Where can I store an RV near Los Angeles?

RV Storage Depot – Norwalk, at 13555 Excelsior Drive, has RV storage in Los Angeles County: indoor valet for rigs up to 47′ end to end, and outdoor valet or self-park for rigs up to 42′. To go indoors, your RV has to be 13′ tall or lower, because our indoor doors are 14′ and we want a foot of clearance.

Find your size

Measure the rig end to end, from the rear bumper (or the rack, if one hangs off the back) to whatever sticks out farthest at the front. On a travel trailer, that's the tip of the coupler. On a fifth wheel, it's the front cap, not the kingpin under it. A motorhome runs bumper to bumper. Add 3′ for room to position it, and that's the shortest space to ask for. A rig that's 32′ end to end needs at least 35′, like a 10×35. Measure it the way we do walks through it.

Valet spaces are 10′ wide and our team positions the rig. Self-park spaces run 10′ to 12′ wide. Width doesn't rule a rig out, but if yours is over 8′ 6″ wide, counting mirrors that don't fold, call the office to confirm the best space.

Height decides whether indoor works. Measure from the ground to the highest point, such as the roof AC or an antenna. Over 13′, go outdoor. Outdoor spaces have no door, and the covered ones sit under a high canopy.

Which space we'd pick

Go for a space at least 5′ longer than your rig. That's a comfortable fit, with room to spare. For the 32′ rig above, that means 37′ or longer.

A space at least 3′ but under 5′ longer than the rig still fits. It's tight, though, so call the office to confirm your exact length before you book.
