Where can I store a pontoon boat, and what size space does it need?

Searching for pontoon boat storage near me from Irvine, Norwalk, the Sacramento area or Altamonte Springs, FL? All four RV Storage Depot locations take a pontoon on its trailer.

The number that picks your space is the length on the trailer, coupler included. A wide beam doesn't rule a pontoon out, and the bimini top only comes into it if the boat is going indoors.

Pontoon boat storage near me: the longest boat each location takes

Location and way to store Longest boat, on its trailer
Great Park, Irvine: outdoor self parking 45′
Norwalk: outdoor self parking 42′
Norwalk: outdoor valet 42′
Norwalk: indoor valet 47′
McClellan Park: indoor valet 42′
Altamonte Springs: outdoor self parking 72′
Altamonte Springs: outdoor valet 47′
Altamonte Springs: indoor valet 47′

Each figure is the longest listed space for that way of storing, less the 3′ it takes to back in and close up, as listed on 2026-11-04. A location without a row for a way of storing doesn't offer it.

Looking your boat up first? The Finder has dimensions by maker, among them Bennington, Sun Tracker and Avalon, and the Vehicle Storage Size Guide lists the rest. Most of our pontoon listings don't give a length on the trailer, though. Measure yours before you book.

Find your size

Length on the trailer

Measure the pontoon on its trailer, from the back of the outboard or the trailer, whichever sticks out further, to the tip of the coupler. Add 3′ to back in and close up, and book the first listed length at or above that number. A pontoon that's 24′ on its trailer needs at least 27′.

Measure it the way we do walks through the method.

Beam

Width doesn't rule a boat out. Measure the beam at its widest point. If it's over 8′ 6″, call the office to confirm the best space. That goes for indoor valet too: a wide pontoon is a phone call, not a no.

Height, if it's going indoors

At RV Storage Depot – Norwalk and RV Storage Depot – Altamonte Springs, anything going inside has to be 13′ or lower on its trailer, because our indoor doors are 14′ and we want a foot of clearance. If your bimini top or arch tower folds, measure it folded.

RV Storage Depot – McClellan Park has no indoor height limit, so a tower doesn't have to fold there.
